We send out people who have a calling from God so that they can engage in intercultural service and help to build God’s kingdom around the world.
We attach equal importance to preaching the good news about Jesus Christ and to helping the needy in practical ways (the Gospel in word and deed).
These are expressed in our two core visions:
We believe there are two different aspects to “Enabling God’s calling”. Firstly, it means sending out people who are called by God so that they can engage in intercultural service. Secondly, it means teaching and educating people in the countries to which our missionaries are called. This will include theological teaching of course, but it also includes vocational training courses which can be used in social and welfare work.
Our “Believing & Helping” vision refers to the medical and/or social and welfare projects in which we are involved. Most of these are in East Africa, but we also support projects in the Ukraine and in Indonesia. Together with local partners we run hospitals and children’s homes. In recent years, vocational training has increasingly become an issue here, because people need to be enabled to earn their living.
