Training auxiliary Nurses in the Children’s Home in Matyazo
The permanent staff in the home are supported in their work by around 50 girls who are completing a basic 2-yr nursing course. Most of these girls had to leave school after seven years of education on account of poor grades, and would not otherwise have had good job opportunities. During the two year nursing course, they learn the basics. Later, they can build on this. They also learn skills which they can use in their own communities and families.
Alongside the cost of feeding and caring for the babies, Betheli children’s home also requires around €25 per month for each of the 50 girls on the nursing course. This covers the cost for accommodation, food and lessons. This amounts to €15,000 per year.
Please help the children’s home to continue offering girls vocation training opportunities after they leave primary school. Thank you!
